How Do Afton Shows Work?

Afton (www.MyAfton.com) was founded by musicians, for musicians, in 2004. We are a concert production company, promoter, talent buyer, and booking agent. We book local & regional unsigned artists on our local shows, and we also bring in National Touring signed artists as well. We’ve booked over 200,000 artists since we started. We partner with music venues in 50+ U.S. major cities and 8+ Canadian cities. Acts that create a free MyAfton.com account are offered shows each month, throughout the year. We are not exclusive, you can always book shows whenever and with whomever you’d like, and you can unsubscribe or put shows on hold at anytime. You can also turn our Booking feature “on” or “off” at anytime. Musicians can utilize all of our free tools and the other services of our MyAfton platform even if they are not booking with us.

Our booking services are free to our artists. You never pay us up front or pay us to book you. All revenues come in from fans paying to see the show. We do a lot for our artists, take on all financial risk, pay all expenses of the show, and promote the shows. All we ask in return is that artists we book show up to perform, and sell at least 20 advance tickets to their fans. We provide both online ticketing and physical cash tickets.

Unsigned artists are paid based on their draw. Our company was founded on the principle of fairness when it comes to rewarding the artists that draw the most fans. This means that artists who contribute the most to each show (draw the most fans) will get paid the more. Higher payouts, the best time slots, longer sets, and other perks such as opening for National Tours are given to the artists who sell the most tickets. We reward acts who have a good work ethic and who know how to effectively promote. Artists make anywhere from $50 up to $600+ or more if they are drawing 20 to 100 fans. Artist Payout is guaranteed per the pay scale (myafton.com/artistpayment) even if the show is a loss for Afton.

We do not do battles or contests, we just book normal live concerts to help gain you exposure and to give you a good time onstage. We also focus on providing tips and resources and helping local artists find and build their fan base.
